Alldocube X1 Review

Recently, devices with support for mobile networks, combining the advantages of both form factors, have become increasingly popular. He feels great not only on the bedside table—a place that is usually intended for tablets—but also on the road or in the country.

Screen and Sound

The screen can be called one of the main advantages of Alldocube X1. Here is installed the matrix from the company JDI, famous for the excellent quality of manufactured displays. It is made using OGS technology with full lamination, which improves the image contrast and viewing angles. The screen resolution is 2,560 × 1,600 pixels, and its diagonal is 8.4 inches.

A wide range of changes in the backlight allows you to use the tablet both in the evening with low artificial light, and outside in bright sunlight. However, in the latter case, you have to twist the brightness slider to the maximum.

Performance

As we have said above, the Helio X20 platform even today shows good performance. There is no doubt that the built-in 10-core processor can easily cope with all standard tablet tasks. The test results fully confirmed this.

Alldocube X1 is ideal for surfing the Web, social networking, watching movies, reading books and any other tasks that are commonly used tablets. Programs run quickly, the operating system interface does not lag, and there is enough RAM to quickly switch between running applications.

Camera

Usually we do not focus too much on the quality of photographing tablets. However, Alldocube X1 claims to be the universal device that will accompany the owner everywhere, so we still tested his camera.

The manufacturer supplied the Alldocube X1 with a 13 megapixel OmniVision 13850 matrix, which, in general, is capable of taking good pictures. Nevertheless, the photos look just awful. As you can see for yourself, even with good daylight, the tablet produces gloomy pictures with distorted colors and low dynamic range.

Alldocube X1 Battery

The battery installed in the tablet has a capacity of 4,500 mAh. It lasts about 5 hours of watching videos on YouTube or 3-4 hours of intense play in PUBG or WoT. If you do less energy-intensive tasks, such as web surfing or typing, the tablet can live up to 7 hours.

Software

Android 7.1.1 Nougat is installed in Alldocube X1—this is already pretty good. Even better, the gadget does not contain additional Chinese software and advertising services. The only exception is a strange default keyboard, which we recommend replacing with Gboard as soon as possible.

Final Words

The main advantages of Alldocube X1 are not its technical characteristics or even the screen, although its quality is really above all praise. Buying this tablet is primarily due to the support of mobile networks. Thanks to this, you can always stay connected and have access to the Internet in any place where there is coverage. Alldocube X1 continues its list of strengths with a sturdy case, an integrated fingerprint scanner, and an affordable price.
